1. Rev. Kaizer dares his son to do goodness, meaning to go back to the Bataky's house and listen to Mr. Batakv share his sinful life.
2. Matt will continue to make better choices in his life. He does not view "being bad" as a popular action. He is beginning to accept who he really is and will continue to help others, rather than make fun of their pain.
3. The main conflict in the story is person versus self. The main character, Matt, is struggling with his identity of being good since he is the minister's son. He is also struggling with aiding a dying man by listening to his confessions, forcing him to evaluate his life. Mr. Bataky is also suffering an internal conflict. He is dying and does not want to leave earth without the forgiveness of his sins he had committed throughout his youth. He thinks Matt is an angel sent from heaven and shares his sins with him.
