60 = 10 * sqrt (y) -3

add 3 to each side

63 = 10 sqrt(y)

divide by 10

63/10 = sqrt y

6.3 = sqrt (y)

square each side

(6.3)^2 = y

39.69 = y

Answer: y=39.69
