As notes in class session, if you are a freshman and want to modify the required format...
a) don't. There are no exceptions for freshmen with respect to the required format.
b) then send a note to the professors and ask for an exception.
c) place a note on your freshman resume that explains why you want to use something other than the required format.
d) then talk to one of the TAs about an exception.
